I was able to interview my good friend who wants to pursue a career in education and I thought he was a perfect candidate to present my 20% Project pitch to. It was good to hear someone else's experience with technology because I only knew one side to it. He had a lot of experience with technology because he played a lot of games and had a computer by 6th grade. I had a fixed view of technology, but after the interview it opened up my eyes to what other opinions are out there. It seemed like Rocky (interviewee) was pro-technology and he seemed like he wanted to integrate it into his future classroom. I think I asked all the questions I needed for this interview. My main questions were what his thoughts were on technology and education, his experiences with technology, and if he thinks it will benefit or harm students. The only new ideas I got from this interview was to really do my research and find convincing evidence that will push and inform educators to implement technology into their classrooms. I still believe the flyer/poster website will be a good final product because it is a easy visual to look at while still presenting credible evidence to educators. I think future students could help out by providing their own opinions and self-reports on how technology helps or harms their educational experience. I believe that as time goes on, technology will advance and it will eventually be in every classroom. Maybe a study will come out that compares the average grades of those who had minimal use of technology in the classroom and the grades of students who had full exposure to technology.
